Personal data we collect

When you start using Articulation Teacher, we collect a device identifier through OneSignal, used for push notifications and to attach any purchases you have made and any in-app user behavior, such as what content you have viewed, to your device.

You also have the option to create an account with an email and password. If you do so, we collect and store personal information related to your App profile, which you voluntarily give us upon signing up. This information is used so that you can transfer any purchases between devices as well as for email messages. This information includes:
 

• Your first name (pseudonyms acceptable)

• Email address

We also automatically collect data about your usage of the App, such as which activities you have completed or identifying parts of the app you spend time on.

We take all measures possible to ensure data security. Please note our database and the database of our software platform Bubble Group, Inc. are not compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

How We Use Your Personal Information

We do not use any personal information you provide when you use the App for any reason other than to provide you with service through the App, including:
 

• Improving the App by understanding what parts you access most often

• Communicate with you about the App, including by sending you announcements, updates, notifications, and responding to your requests, questions, and feedback

• Provide technical support and maintenance for the App

• Perform statistical analysis about use of the App (including through the use of Google Analytics)

Third Parties

When you use the App, Third Parties may collect, store and/or process the information detailed in this Privacy Policy. These Third Parties are selected to ensure that they, and their related entities who may access your information, provide your information with equal protection to that stated in this Privacy Policy and required by applicable privacy laws and the Platform Providers' rules, policies and guidelines.

Third Parties that we may share data with include Bubble Group Inc., our software platform provider (privacy policy here); FiveTran, which supplements the data infrastructure of Bubble and is sub-processor for the App (privacy policy here); Google Analytics for statistical analysis about use of the App (privacy policy here); OneSignal for sending notifications (privacy policy here); and SendGrid for sending email communication (privacy policy here).

Retention of Your Data

When you are a registered user of the App, we retain your data for as long as you remain an active user of your account. Where there has not been any activity on your account for three years we will contact you to check if you still wish to retain your account with us. Where you decide to cancel your account or we do not hear further from you, your account will be de-activated and your data will be deleted.

You can also request to review all data we have on you, that we delete all of your data, or that we stop processing your data by deleting or account at any time by emailing your request to AT@speakeasycommunity.com.

Explanation of Cookies

We use minimal cookies on our website and app, primarily for the necessary functioning of the website and app and for usage analytics purposes.

These cookies include:

• Google Analytics to track website usage. You can find out more information about Google Analytics Cookies here.

• Checking whether the user's device has purchased access to any content, and saving App usage data associated with the user's device.

• Checking whether the user is logged in and allowing saving of data to the current user.

• Cookies OneSignal needs to send app notifications (privacy policy here).
